Hi, I’m Dr. Komal Vargas—but my littlest patients call me Dr. Koko.
After a stint in a traditional outpatient clinic, I realized I wanted more time with my patients and a more comfortable environment. Now, I deliver personal pediatric care right to your door, serving families with member-based pediatric care.

I went to Texas A&M for medical school (Gig ’em!) and completed my residency in Austin.

Classic back-to-school viruses are making the rounds. Runny nose, congestion, cough, sore throat, fever. Some children may develop vomiting/diarrhea.
Focus on fluids, rest, nasal saline and comfort care. A lingering cough can last longer than the other symptoms.
🔴 COVID-19
(High activity locally and nationally)
Fever, sore throat, cough, congestion, headache, fatigue and sometimes vomiting/diarrhea.
Symptoms can look just like other viruses. Testing can be useful when the result would change what you do next.
🟡 Strep Throat
(High activity locally/nationally)
Sudden sore throat, fever, painful swallowing, headache or stomachache. Younger children may have nausea/vomiting.
Have siblings? Skip the shared water bottles, utensils, and “just one bite” while someone is sick. Good hand hygiene and keeping personal items separate can help limit spread.
